** Bonjour ! Please note I can also help with one-off activities, such as taking your pet to the vet, collecting their food, etc. 😃 **
What I Offer:
Hello there. I live near Maalbeek metro/Wijk van de Squares/Place St Josse and have one cat of my own. I can usually come to visit your cat in your home once or twice a day (depending on where you live), and I always try to play with and sit with them for a cuddle for around an hour (depending on how busy I am with cat bookings at the time!). I can often stay longer if you'd like, in which case please book for 2x visits per day. I always send you lots of photos (probably more than you want!).
About Me and Cats:
I've had cats all my life, my first came along when I was 8 years old and lived to be 19. I had a few after and the one I have currently - Muffin - is a 14-year-old rescue cat who adopted me 5 years ago. I often take care of friends' cats when they're away, as did I when living in the UK before moving to Belgium in 2017. I am accustomed to dealing with cats who may have special needs. My Muffin was severely overweight when I adopted her; we worked hard to get her to lose the weight and she has now been at a healthy and happy weight for the last three years! The lovely rescue cat I had before Muffin had terminal liver disease and was not expected to live for more than a couple of months after I adopted him...he lived over three more years and ended up passing away for an unrelated reason.
I am a native English-speaker and speak some Dutch and a small bit of French...not that your pet can speak to me (or can it!?).
Only Cats?:
I keep saying cat...rabbits are definitely welcome and some dogs may be OK - I used to be afraid of them; now, less so, so it would really depend on the dog. I really love greyhounds and whippets, though :) I have recently started dog-walking and may be able to also keep dogs company in your home, so am open to discussing that if needed. Other animals, I guess would be OK as well; it just depends on what kind! I have previously had a rabbit, tortoise, fish and even chickens! Small pets such as fish, hamsters and gerbils, I might be able to keep at my house to look after. Ask me and we can talk about it.
I will also water your plants, check your mail, etc if needed.
What Else?:
I have happily built up some regular clients from Pawshake over the last year or so and have met some great cats and humans! Having lost my job in March due to the Covid-19 pandemic, I would like to become a full-time pet-sitter, so please consider me for your small friends. 🌷
Also LGBTQIA* and BAME (#BLM) friendly. 🕊
I would love to meet your pet and look forward to hearing from you.
** When contacting me, please let me know the area where you live (nearest transport stop, etc), as Pawshake doesn't always tell us. Merci!
Once again, Cyndee looked after my fur baby so well while I was away! She kept me updated with lots of pictures and updates about Bentley. Cyndee is always so friendly, helpful and flexible, which I am so grateful for, especially due to my various travel changes because of covid restrictions. She also often spent extra time with Bentley, which really made me happy. When I came home, Bentley was a happy cat. I will definitely use Cyndee again and can highly, highly recommend her!
Cyndee really knows how to handle cats...and their families when they are away. Very responsive, punctual updates and some humour. Highly recommended!
Supporting cats with special needs. Often getting cats who hate everyone else to like me. Cuddles in front of the TV.
**Please note that I am available over the Christmas holidays!**
