Hello! My name is Silvija Milosavljevic, and I am a doctoral candidate at University of Gent working in the biology department. I am originally from Serbia, but my studies and work took me abroad several times. Before coming to Gent, I lived in Helsinki (Finland), Uppsala (Sweden) and Zurich (Switzerland). I speak English and Serbian, but also Swedish and Finnish, and I am learning Spanish rapidly right now.
As a child my parents did not allow pets in the apartment, and I believe having a dog in a small space with limited time for walks and play is never a good idea. However, now I see that I really miss the fun and the affection that dogs can give you, and I would like to have this other family member with me soon. That is why I would like to help out dog owners and get some quality time with the dogs myself. I always wanted to have a pet of my own, so becoming a dog walker and helping the others with their dogs will be a great opportunity for me! My working hours are quite flexible most of the time, so I am happy to go for day walks.
I have plenty of experience walking the dogs of the Gent animal shelter, so I am gaining experience quickly!

Silvija is een hele goeie Dogsitter, ze heeft heel veel geduld met hen en respecteer ook de achtergrond van de honden. Mijn honden zijn ook blij van haar te zien en zijn niet bang met haar, lopen mee met staartjes omhoog wat ze niet met iedereen doen. Ik zal ze zeker houden als Hondensitter 😃
Voor de eerste keer heb ik gebruik gemaakt van haar hondenuitlaatservice, en ik ben zeer tevreden. De uitlaatster kwam netjes van tevoren langs voor een kennismaking, wat ik erg op prijs stelde. Dit gaf mij de kans om mijn hond aan haar voor te stellen en om alle details door te nemen.
Ze komt netjes op tijd, wat erg fijn is voor mijn planning. De communicatie verloopt uitstekend; ze houdt me goed op de hoogte en stuurt regelmatig updates.
Ze gaat geweldig om met mijn hondje en heeft duidelijk een passie voor dieren. Mijn hond is blij en tevreden na de wandelingen met haar. Ze komt enthousiast en betrouwbaar over, wat mij veel vertrouwen geeft.
Ik zou haar zonder twijfel aanraden aan iedereen die op zoek is naar een zorgzame en professionele hondenuitlaatster!
