My name is Ania. I am posting this offer with two main motivations - to help the community of expatriate dog owners in Brussels and give my dog some enjoyable time with furry friends. I would be happy to open my home to friendly, kind dogs. Thorin, my 5-year-old boy Labrador adores the company of other dogs. He is not neutered, but a super kind and easygoing fellow. He is afraid of some breeds, and then he might not get along too well with the males.

What do I offer?

I live in Hoeilaart and have a big house with a large garden, adjacent to the forest. Dogs stay on the ground floor and have at their disposal some 150 sqm of tiled floor, so no need to worry about nails' scratches or little accidents, with young or elderly dogs. I have enough space to separate the dogs, to give them time to chill and rest. I don't take more than 2 guests at a time, to give them the necessary attention.

The garden is entirely enclosed with a tall fence. The forest starts just at the garden's gate and there is also a very large meadow nearby and a doggy playground.

I work in the EU quarter twice a week, but rarely there is no one at home during the day as my husband works from home as well, and teenage kids are also around. When we have guests, we can ensure that there would be someone to supervise them at all times.

The family is very active - we walk some 6-8 km a day or run, then a bit more. We have 2 longer walks a day and a shorter one in the evening. My boy eats twice a day and regularly gets a proper grooming. I have a shower in the basement, so mud from the forest is easily rinsed off.

You are leaving on holidays or a weekend and you do not want to drag your animals with you? You think they would be better off at someone else's house than alone in a hotel room - I know the feeling! Leave your girl or boy with us, they would have a great time in our green neighbourhood!

What do I require?

My dog is vaccinated and I expect the same from our guests.

In general for new guests, minimum stay is 2 nights - we need to get to know each other in order to enjoy ourselves! Doggy day care only for returning clients. Returning clients and longer stays will enjoy discounted rates.

My dog is loved and cherished but he also knows his role and place in the family hierarchy. Therefore before inviting your pet to my house I will want to run an overnight test, to see if they would respect the authority and house rules.
