My name is Celina, and I’ve been passionate about animals for as long as I can remember. From a young age, I found myself rescuing and caring for various animals, much to my mum's amusement as our home began to resemble a small zoo! The unconditional love that animals give is one of the most beautiful and gratifying experiences in life, and it’s this love that motivates me to be a pet sitter. I’m dedicated to providing every pet with a safe, loving, and comfortable environment where they can thrive while you’re away.

I studied biology, focusing on botany, and now work in environmental conservation, where I have the privilege of working closely with wildlife. My academic background and professional experience have deepened my understanding of the natural world and reinforced my commitment to caring for all living creatures. This blend of scientific knowledge and passion for animals allows me to approach pet sitting with a unique and thoughtful perspective.

My pet-sitting journey began many years ago during my time at university. As I studied and lived abroad in different countries, I found it difficult to have pets of my own. Pet sitting became my way of staying connected with animals, bringing me immense happiness and fulfillment. Over the years, I’ve gained extensive experience in caring for pets of all types (including snakes and iguanas!), understanding their needs, and ensuring they feel secure and loved.

I live with my partner and our two-year-old female dog 🐶. She’s very accustomed to being around other dogs and loves to play. However, to ensure her comfort and well-being, we only accept dogs that are not overly dominant. It’s important that she enjoys the experience as much as we do and always feels safe in her home.

If you have any concerns, I suggest arranging a meeting between the dogs beforehand to ensure they get along. Your dog(s) will be warmly welcomed into our home, which features a fenced backyard that’s open during the day. They will sleep in the living room, where I’ll make sure they are as comfortable as possible.

I work from home, so I have plenty of flexibility to spend time with your pet and provide responsible supervision. I typically take walks in the nearby woods and parks at least twice a day—usually in the morning and late afternoon. If the weather is good, I sometimes visit dog parks. I also enjoy organizing treasure hunts and other games to keep the dogs physically active, both indoors and outdoors, or as agreed with the owners. The walks I offer are always 30 minutes or more, never less, unless discussed with the owner.

Since my dog was rescued as a puppy and had some behavioral issues early on, I’ve engaged in dog training and gained valuable insights. If your dog has specific behavioral concerns, or if there’s an issue you’d like to address, I’d be happy to discuss it with you and see what we can arrange. I can accommodate a maximum of two guest dogs at a time (three including mine).

I also offer all standard services for dogs and am available for home visits and house sitting for cats or other small pets. While my dog isn’t used to living with cats, I can care for other small pets in our home, keeping them on separate floors if needed. As a passionate plant lover, during home visits or stays, I’m more than happy to not just water your plants, but also ensure they’re thriving—if that’s okay with you!

To ensure the safety and well-being of all animals in my care, I only accept pets that are vaccinated with at least the standard vaccinations. While I prefer vaccinated pets, I’m open to discussing any concerns you might have before we proceed. Your pet’s health and happiness are my top priorities, and I’m excited to offer them a home away from home where they’ll be treated like family.

In addition to providing bedding and walking equipment if required, I will regularly send photos and videos of your pet, ensuring you’re always updated. I’m also experienced in administering various types of medication, drawing from my experience with my previous dog who had several health issues later in life.

Since I have a car, I can sometimes offer pick-up and drop-off services around the Leuven area for your convenience. If I need to step out, my partner will be there to ensure your pet is never left unattended. He also works from home some days of the week.
