About me

Hi, I'm Danaé, an animal lover based in Etterbeek, Brussels. I've lived in Brussels for over 10 years and currently share my home with my one-year-old orange cat, Roumi. Animals have always been a big part of my life, and I have experience caring for cats, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, and horses.

As a cat mum, I understand how important it is to leave your pet with someone trustworthy, caring, and attentive. My goal is to provide a safe, calm, and loving environment where your pet feels comfortable and well cared for while you're away.

My home

I live alone in a spacious and quiet 90 m² apartment with a small garden. The garden is fully enclosed and pets only have access to it under my supervision. My home is suitable for pets who enjoy a calm environment and plenty of human interaction.

I live with my friendly cat Roumi. Any interactions between guest pets and my cat are carefully supervised to ensure everyone's comfort and safety.

Guest pets are welcome to sleep in the living room, in their own bed, or in another comfortable area of the apartment according to their usual routine. I always try to make them feel as close to home as possible.

Services offered

I welcome cats, small dogs, medium-sized dogs, and small pets such as rabbits and guinea pigs.

Services can include:

• Feeding and fresh water according to your instructions
• Daily walks for dogs
• Playtime and mental stimulation
• Brushing and basic grooming
• Administration of oral medications if required
• Regular companionship and supervision
• Photo and video updates throughout the stay

Please discuss any medical conditions, medications, allergies, or behavioural concerns before booking so I can make sure your pet receives the appropriate care.

Boarding and day care

To ensure every animal receives sufficient attention, I only accept a limited number of pets at the same time. Generally, I host a maximum of one dog (or dogs from the same household) in addition to my own cat.

Dogs receive at least 2-3 walks per day, with walks typically lasting between 30 and 60 minutes depending on the dog's age, energy level, and needs. I regularly walk in the parks of Etterbeek, Auderghem, and Woluwe.

As I sometimes work outside the home on weekdays, pets may occasionally be left alone for short periods. However, I only accept pets that are comfortable being alone for a few hours and I ensure they are never left alone for longer than Pawshake's permitted limits. Outside of working hours, evenings, and weekends, I spend most of my time with the animals in my care.

My weekly routine is generally stable, which allows me to maintain consistent feeding times, walks, play sessions, and companionship.

Meet-and-greet

Please contact me in advance to discuss dates and your pet's needs. I prefer arranging a meet-and-greet before the first booking so we can discuss routines, expectations, and any special care requirements.

Communication

I know how much pets mean to their parents, so I provide regular updates throughout their stay. You'll receive photos, videos, and regular updates so you always know how your pet is doing. If you have any questions or want to know more, I’m just a message away!
