ABOUT ME

Hi there! I’m Rita, a 29 year old from Lisbon, Portugal, but living in Brussels since 2023.

I grew up in a home where dogs were always part of the family, so being around them has always felt something natural. Since moving here for work, I really miss the daily connection with dogs and the joy and energy they bring. In fact, every time I go back home to Portugal, I can’t wait to take my dog out for a walk in the park or at the beach - there’s honestly no better feeling than seeing a happy dog after a good walk! :)

So this was what inspired me to start on Pawshake: to combine my love for dogs with the excitement of meeting new friends, bringing a little bit of home and enthusiasm to every walk and moment together!

LOCATION

I live between Parc du Cinquantenaire and Leopold Park, which are perfect spots for relaxed and enjoyable walks.

I’m happy to travel to nearby neighborhoods and can pick up your dog from home if it’s convenient.

DOG WALKS

I adapt to every dog’s pace, whether they love long active walks or prefer slower strolls.
And don’t worry, poop bags are always secured by me!

DOG SITTING

After we’ve built trust through walks, I can dog sit at your home or at mine, depending on what works best for you and your dog (under availability).

MY APPROACH

I’m friendly, patient and attentive, and I always give dogs the time they need to feel comfortable and build trust.

✔ I follow the owner’s instructions and routines. I have also experience giving prescripted medication, if a treatment is in course.
✔ I make sure dogs are always safe and comfortable
✔ I’m happy to send photos and updates during walks or visits

I’m also happy to organise a short meet & greet before the first booking so you and your dog feel completely comfortable.
