Accueil d'un chat (max. 3 s'ils vivent ensemble) stérilisé, vacciné et traité contre les puces*

(4 nuits minimum/maximum 2 semaines)

• Possibilité d'accueillir un chat (ou max. 3 s'ils vivent ensemble) ou des rongeurs (en cage, avec sorties dans l'appartement en ma présence), en semaine (l'animal sera seul en journée sauf quand je télétravaille) et/ou le week-end.
• Le chat aura accès à l'entièreté de l'appartement, sauf aux toilettes, à la salle de bain et une des chambres (où nous mettrons les plantes).
• Je m'adapte toujours au comportement de l'animal : je joue s'il en a besoin, je le caresse s'il le souhaite, je le laisse tranquille s'il est indépendant.
• Matériel à apporter par le propriétaire : bac à litière, litière, nourriture et éventuellement jouets préférés
• Matériel sur place : coussins pour chats, couvertures, mini arbre à chat/griffoir, jouets, bols.
• Conditions : Le chat doit être stérilisé, vacciné, vermifugé et traité contre les puces.

Je suis capable de prodiguer les soins de base, ayant dû le faire lors de mon bénévolat.

Je vis avec mon compagnon et nous sommes des personnes très calmes, ne forçons jamais les animaux à venir vers nous. 

Si je rencontre des chats craintifs, je préfère le laisser tranquille, m'installer dans un coin et attendre que le chat vienne à moi. J'aime m'adapter aux animaux : les caresser s'ils le souhaitent, jouer avec eux s'ils en ont envie, les laisser se reposer s'ils préfèrent.

Please note that I work full-time during the week but I can work from home 3 days per week. As I sometimes have to travel for work, I won't be able to confirm right away. But don't hesitate to ask, I will help you if I can. :)

Welcoming a (neutered*) cat (possibly up to three if they live together) or a rodent into my home (NO DOGS! - minimum 4 days/maximum 2 weeks)

• I can welcome cats or rodents (with their cage) at my place.
  During the day and the week, the animal will be alone at least twice a week (work from home possibly 3 times per week).
• Equipment to be brought by the owner: litter, litter box, food
  Equipment that I have: toys, cat beds, blankets, scratching post
• The cat must have received an anti-fleas treatment.

*Since 2018, it is compulsory to sterilise cats in Belgium. Why? Around 30,000 cats are abandoned annually in shelters (and anywhere...). One-third are euthanised for lack of space and adopters, and stray cats also die because of hard lives on the streets. So spay & neuter!

About me: I have been living with animals (dog, cat, fish, mouse, rat, degu, rabbit, guinea pig) since childhood. And as an Introvert, I can say that animals are my best friends. I volunteered for 4 years at CatRescue, a cat shelter in Brussels: every Sunday morning, I took care of the cats and cleaned the shelter. I adopted an old cat in 2012. The shelter's vet told me that he would probably die soon... But we lived together for 7 years! My cat passed away at the end of 2019 (because of health issues) and I've been missing him. A few months after he left, I became a cat foster family for another cat shelter in Brussels, Ever'Y Cat, from March 2020 to May 2021. I currently don't have any animals (as my job requires me to travel) and I've been a cat-sitter since the summer of 2021. Being a cat-sitter is a perfect opportunity for me to have a cat at home or to take care of different cats.
